Bernadette "Bernie" Campbell 66 of Portage passed away on February 9, 2010. She was born on January 9, 1944 in Lake Station, Indiana to the Late George and Betty(Meltzer) Smith. She was married to Delaney Campbell on June 16, 1966, and from this union came 2 children. Bernie was a Nurse for the US Steel Family Medical Center, also worked with McColly Real Estate, and Central Elementary School, She enjoyed gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by husband; Delaney Campbell of Portage, Son; Delaney(Stacey) Campbell of Kouts, Daughter; Terri(Todd) Waugaman of Portage, Sisters; Rita and Maryann, Grandchildren; Abby, Max, Toddie, Bella. A funeral service will be held on Saturday February 13, 2010 at 3:00pm at the Kraft Funeral Services and Crematory 370 N. County Line Road Hobart, In 46342, with Pastor Dan Luce officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call on Saturday from 1:00pm until time of services at 3:00pm pm at the Kraft Funeral Home. Bernie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
